We are doing a joint VBS this summer with Mt. Joy AME. Trinity of Long Green, St. James of Parkton, and Immanuel of Glencoe will publicize it to their families, and may be more involved in future years. We have decided to try Sunday afternoons from 1 to 4 p.m., on July 14, 21, 28, August 4, and 11. We realize that families may need to miss a session, but hope that you can make it to most of them.
We have ordered the LeaderResources curriculum Wizards and Wonders: A Hero’s Journey with Harry Potter. This curriculum does not provide materials for us, so we will need to find and make everything ourselves. There are many ways in which you can be involved, both on-going and one-time, behind the scenes and up-front leadership. Whatever you are able to offer, we can find a way to get you involved! It’s good to get as many different people involved as possible, so that the children see that the whole church is interested in guiding them along their faith journey.
Please register by July 7.
Our Sunday School explores Biblical narratives and the Episcopal liturgy in a way that captures a child's God-given imagination.
Sunday School, including Middle School Discovery, is offered from September through June, with the exception of Second Sundays on which Family Eucharist will be celebrated. Middle School will begin at 9:30, and ages 4 years to grade 5 will begin at 10:00.
Please fill out a Registration Form for your family by September 1, 2013. There will be a parent meeting on Sunday, September 8, during Coffee Hour in the parish library. Classes begin on September 15.
For preschool and for kindergarten through second grade, we will be offering classes in the popular curriculum, Godly Play. For third through fifth grades, we will be using Weaving God’s Promises for Children. The Middle School class will be using Weaving God’s Promises for Youth.

People were bringing little children to Jesus to have him touch them, but the disciples rebuked them. When Jesus saw this, he was indignant. He said to them, 'Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these. I tell you the truth, anyone who will not receive the kingdom of God like a little child will never enter it.' And he took the children in his arms, put his hands on them and blessed them.
