Julie Schmidt

Julie grew up in Wisconsin and inherited her love of wood and woodworking from a number a talented family members. She has studied with, and been mentored by, a number of turners on the east coast. Julie has also taken an instructional class with the well known English turner, Jimmy Clewes.

Julie is a member of the Chesapeake Woodturners, the Baltimore Area Turners, and the American Association of Woodturners. Her works have appeared in galleries and shows in Annapolis and the Baltimore area. She currently resides in Illinois, and is now spending her time between two shops - one in Monkton, MD and the other in Antioch, IL.
