Men's Organization
Our mission is simple: to love and serve the Lord.

As [Jesus] walked by the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea-for they were fishermen. And he said to them, "Follow me, and I will make you fish for people." Immediately they left their nets and followed him.
Matthew 4: 18-20

  The Community

All Men are members of the Saint James Men's Organization. Our tools are our talents. The treasure we raise is shared and our time together is a true gift. Our members are spread throughout the Ministry Communities of Saint James and our efforts benefit communities around the world. This diversification in ministry allows us a wide opportunity to support projects throughout the church and the community. Sometimes we are seen, other times we are in the background, at all times we seek to walk with Christ.

To join the Men's Organization, just drop your nets and join us in walking with Christ. Sometimes we may think this walk lasts only for a mile or two but then we discover He is always walking with us. Christ has already led us in paths that include retreats where we were renewed and a Bible study where we leaned on God's Word and one another. You will find us in the kitchen enjoying fellowship and feeding others. You can see us in houses that our hands are helping to restore. Join us in garages that need cleaning and in service to families and communities that need a net. Please contact Charles Fitzhugh for information on this active community.

  Notes from the Men's Retreat

Men's Retreat
Men's Retreat

I am glad I attended the men's retreat. It was a wonderful opportunity to gather with men who have the same goal, that of drawing closer to Christ. In the process we drew closer to each other, which can only strengthen us and the church. It really was a great time!

Just a note to let you know how much I appreciate being part of the men's retreat... It was most gratifying to better understand the role Saint James plays in the community...We shared stories that related our personal experiences and that helped us all realize that our curiosity to learn was a common denominator...As we focused on specific passages in bible study we found that fresh, anecdotal individual understandings allowed the group as a whole to find more personal meaning in the written word- and that helped us better relate it to our own spiritual journeys.
