The Ignatian Way: On-line Class for Lent 2011

Are you hoping to find a way of prayer that speaks to the longings of your heart?
You have placed your truth in the inner being;
Therefore teach me the wisdom of the heart.
Forgive all that binds me in fear,
That I might radiate love.
-from Psalms for Praying
Join us at the Center for Spiritual Development for an on-line Lenten Study based on Ignatian Discernment and Prayer.
We will explore three essential Ignatian prayer forms:
- Meditative Prayer where I seek God in quiet, inspired by scripture;
- Contemplative Prayer where I open to God through silence:
- Prayer of the Senses where I am fully present to my entire experience of this moment in God.
During Holy Week we will walk with Christ through imaginative prayer and the classic Stations of the Cross. We end our course exploring discernment and practicing the daily prayer known as the Examen.
The course includes daily email reflections, weekly lessons, reflection questions, and guided meditations to enhance your practice of the prayer form for the week.
