We walk with the hope of transformation.
We walk in the faith of resurrection.
St. Ignatius of Loyola, 16th century teacher, spiritual director and mystic, and author of the Spiritual Exercises will be our companion for this two day Lenten experience. Your prayer will be enriched through "imaginative contemplation" of the events traditionally recognized in the devotional practice of walking the Way of the Cross.
Friday evening's gathering will situate St. Ignatius within his cultural context and offer a reflection on and experience of his orientation to prayer.
Saturday's quiet retreat morning will allow ample time for personal prayer and reflection in the context of a gathered community of prayer. We will walk the Stations of the Cross in the fields of St. James Parish guided by I-pod mediations which may be downloaded from our website prior to the event.
Our Facilitator-Martha Campbell is a lay contemplative living in western Massachusetts. Most recently she has been director of Spiritual Guidance Program at Shalem Institute for Spiritual Formation. She received her training in the Spiritual Exercises from the International Training Centre at Loyola House in Guelph, Ontario.
