CHILDREN'S EUCHARIST (10:15)

 

 
Before the Service

  1. 1. Check calendar (in Chapel closet) for color of the day/season.
  2. Wash and dry (if necessary) 2 chalices and ciborium (silver bowl).
  3. Place the following on a cart, which will be in hallway:
    • One vested chalice
      • Purificator
      • Paten
      • Priest's Wafer
      • Pall
      • Veil
      • Burse (with post-communion veil and one extra purificator)
    • Second chalice covered with purificator only
    • Ciborium with 50 wafers (and put some extra wafers in a baggie in case they are needed)
    • Corporal
    • Glass lavabo bowl and lavabo towel
    • 4 Baskets with felt liners in the color of the season
    • Wine cruet 2/3 full
    • Water cruet 2/3 full
    • Stole in the color of the season (will likely be in the Chapel closet)
    • "Handprint" Frontal, which is hanging in the Chapel closet. The seasonal altar hanging (already on the altar) will go over the frontal.
    • Credence linen for credence table (use embroidered linens in matching color, if possible) will probably be on the credence table already.
    • Pillow for Book Stand (in Chapel closet)
  4. Wheel cart to STM Room and set up altar and credence table.
  5. Place candles and glass candle holders (in Chapel altar drawer) on altar.
  6. Matches and candle snuffer are also in Chapel altar drawer.

    NOTE: Water and wine are on bottom shelf of the metal cabinet. Corporal, pall, post-communion veil and lavabo towel are in a box on the top shelf.

After the Service

  1. Put candles and holders back in altar drawer.
  2. Replace dust cloths on altar and credence table.
  3. Wash and dry silver and glass and replace in cabinet. Place silver in tarnish-resistance bags.
  4. Return altar frontal, pillow, and stole to closet.
  5. Everything else goes in cabinet. Corporal, pall, post-communion veil, and lavabo towel go in the box on the top shelf.
  6. Take home linens as necessary to be washed and ironed and returned to the cabinet.
  7. Any wine left in the chalices must be poured on the ground outside.
  8. Any other consecrated wine and/or wafers should be taken to the church sacristy and placed in the aumbry.
  9. Lock cabinet and return the cabinet key to the calendar nail in the Chapel closet.
