Symbol
Saint Paul the Apostle
Conversion of St. Paul January 25

Paul was not one of the Twelve and most certainly never met Jesus. In fact, until his conversion, Paul (then called Saul) was a vicious persecutor of Christians. Then one day on the road to Damascus, the Lord spoke to him, "Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?" The result was Paul’s conversion (Acts 9), after which he devoted his life to Christ and especially the conversion of Gentiles.

Symbol: A sword and a book , which reads Spiritus Gladius, or "sword of the Lord".
