The first apostle called by Jesus, Andrew left his fishing nets and spent the rest of his life bringing others to Christ, starting with his brother Simon Peter. Andrew was the disciple who brought the boy with the loaves and fishes to Jesus at the feeding of the multitude. He traveled to many countries to preach and was martyred in Greece by crucifixion on an x-shaped cross. Andrew is the patron Saint of Scotland.
